The Power of Yes

John Hollingorth (1991-1999) is in the cast of The Power of Yes, at the Lyttelton Theatre at the National Theatre, which opened in September and now continues until April 2010. John invited a party of members of the Old Bradfordians' London Club to a recent performance. The play, the story of the build up to and progression of the global financial crisis, pursues and explores chronologically and clinically the actions and roles and problems of bankers, equity investors, financial services advisers government officials, hedge fund managers, industrialists, and journalists. John, a recent Drummond Student of the Club, plays superbly two cameo roles as a Northern Echo journalist and as a bond trader. Could it happen again? Well go and see and reach your own conclusion.

Following the performance John took us back and on stage in a tour of the theatres. We much enjoyed this opportunity and to meet with potential new members of the Club over drinks at the bar before departure.
